Wat Phra Fang
Situated on the left bank of the beautiful Maenam Nan River is the majestic Wat Phra Fang Sawangkhamuninat. This beautiful temple is located 16 kilometers south of the town of Uttradit in the Tambon Pha Jook.
Wat Phra Fang Sawangkhamuninat is one of the most ancient temples in Thailand that was constructed during the Sukhothai Period. The romantic ruins of the temple are shaded by beautiful trees and provide an excellent glimpse of Sukhothai architecture. Khuean Sirikit Dam and Reservoir
Located about 68 kilometers from the provincial town of Uttaradit, at Tha Pla district is the Khuean Sirikit Dam and Reservoir, which is famous for being Thailand's largest earth dam.
Built in 1973 over the Nan River, this dam stands 160 meters (525 feet) high and 800 meters (2625 feet) long and covers an area of 220 square kilometers. Originally named as Pha Som Dam, its name was later changed to Sirikit Dam.
Tourists can drive up to the dam and around the reservoir to view the beautiful surroundings. On the other side of the reservoir, there is a beautiful lake, with beautiful scenic beauty and tourists can take a boat ride around the lake. More...
