The topography of the park is high limestone mounts with a marshy beach and shallow saline water pond. The park has a flat area which has stagnant water right round the year. This area is a freshwater marsh called Thung Sam Roi Yot and covers and area of 36.8 square kilometers.

The name of the park can be translated into the Mountain with Three Hundred Peaks. This name comes from the gray limestone mountains that rise majestically from the Gulf of Thailand attaining a maximum height of 605 meters. The mountains are wooded but there is a freshwater marsh as well as saline coastal habitat that are highly conducive to the ecology of the area.

There are many attractions in the park, including sandy beaches, caves, mountain viewpoints, offshore islands, estuarine and mangrove habitats, and forest trails. This ends up making Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park one of the most interesting and attractive parks in Thailand. More....
