Thai Temporary Tourist Visa: Visa On Arrival in Thailand

    A passport holder from certain countries is allowed to apply for Thai tourist visa at immigration checkpoints, if he/s enters Thailand for the purpose of traveling. The temporary tourist visa will be granted not exceeding fifteen days.
  1. The temporary tourist visa applicant must be able to provide the proof of mean of living expenses: Ten thousand Baht per person and Twenty thousand Baht for the family.
  2. The applicant must have full paid ticket or other ways of transportation.
  3. Recent photograph (2.5 inches)
  4. 1,000 Baht application fee.
  5. The passport holder who enters the country with temporary tourist visa will not be able to file for extension of stay. The only exception is illness.

 

Visa on arrival can only be granted at these following checkpoints:

    • Bangkok: Savvanabhumi Airport
    • Chiangmai: Chiangmai Airport
    • Phuket: Phuket Airport
    • Songkla: Hatyai Airport
    • Rayong: U Tapao Airport
    • Chiang Rai: Mae Sai Checkpoint
    • Chiang Rai: Chiang Khong Checkpoint
    • Yala: Betong Checkpoint
    • Songhla: Sadoa Checkpoint
    • Surat Thani: Samui Checkpoint
    • Tak : Sukhothai Airport
