Loy Krathong and Yi Peng 2026: Dates, Lantern Rules, Fines
Chiang Mai's Loy Krathong sky lantern windows are 24 and 25 November 2026, in the evening from 19:00 to 01:00 Thai time. Release is banned in the airport safety zone and the red watch zone, and elsewhere needs a district chief permit applied for 30 days ahead. The fine is up to THB 200,000.
